It could be a problem with JDK 7.0.40, so I would suggest trying running Eclipse with a different JDK version.
It might be related to Eclipse Bug 418774 which uses the same Eclipse version.]]>Eric Clayberg2013-10-17T16:56:12-00:00Re: Java(tm) crash

thx for the fast response.
i installed java fx scene builder, it didn't open if i tryed to launch it.
if i look at my task manager i see it coming in the list but after about 2 sec it goes away again.
i then downloaded the jdk7 u45 and that solved the issue with the scene builder but the window builder for swing in eclipse still makes it crash
i have to use jdk7 so i'm still looking for a solution.
i would like to give you more information but i can't seem to find any crash files, can you tell me where the should be located or at least in with folder and/or how the are called ?
i don't know if this give more info but the eclipse version i'm using is the Version: Kepler Service Release 1
Build id: 20130919-0819
also runing on Windows 8, 64bit , x64 processor
and thx again for the response.
i didn't try jdk8 if there really isn't any other option/ solutions i'll try that

I have installed jdk6, jdk7, jdk8 ( setup default on system path jdk8 ):
my eclipse version: Kepler Service Release 1 Build id: 20130919-0819
eclipse run on default jdk8, projects compile in jdk6 (setup project
options ) and test/run on all: jdk6, jdk7 and jdk8 ( setup run/debug
options )]]>2013-10-18T06:48:36-00:00
