Eclipse Community ForumsProject to Contribute
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/489096/1063910/#msg_1063910
I have a fair bit of experience (academic and industry) with Java and would love to contribute to my favorite IDE. I have been going through the list of projects, however, the information is a little too broad and sometimes nonexistent.
I am looking for helping out with improving the performance of the project I work in together with the stability.
I am looking for suggestions for a project to contribute to. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.]]>Arin Soyen2013-06-15T02:30:24-00:00Re: Project to Contribute

When looking to contribute, it really depends on you. One way to look
at it is what parts of eclipse would you use in day to day work? If you
use Eclipse for Java Devs and you wished to edit java a certain way,
maybe JDT is the place to start. If you use Eclipse for JEE Devs, maybe
look at the Webtools project. If you are importing maven projects and
wish for better interactions, maybe look at the m2e project or at tycho
support.
I am wondering which areas of Eclipse need special performance improvements (please don't say all ). Or, maybe there are a few projects that seek stability improvements specifically...
Thanks in advance,
