Eclipse Community ForumsRecent and Open Projects feature in Eclipse IDE
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/440281/986066/#msg_986066
Started using Eclipse. Got couple of queries in the IDE File menu.
1) In most of the IDEs(either java or non-Java) we see 'Recent' option is available in the File menu. But this is not an option in Eclipse.
2) Similarly 'open project' option is not there only 'open file' is there. Our frequent need would be to open a project rather opening a individual file.
Any reasons these two are not designed like I mentioned above?
Thank You]]>Durgarao ADARI2012-11-18T07:45:56-00:00Re: Recent and Open Projects feature in Eclipse IDE

Projects in your workspace are always shown in the Package and Project
Explorer and Navigator views which are (usually) at the extreme left of
the workbench. You don't need a "recent" menu since they're all listed
there.
Based on what you've asked, I don't think you've looked very closely at
Eclipse yet. Please find a tutorial to go through. I would suggest a
beginning tutorial at http://www.vogella.de.]]>Russell Bateman2012-11-18T22:43:40-00:00
