I am new to Eclipse. I have Eclipse 3.4.2
I am trying to prototype RESTful web service. Some tutorials talk about selection JAX-RS option while creating a New - Project but I am not able to see that in my eclipse.
Is there an plugin or how can I see that option

I'm not certain what you've seen unless it's a Maven archetype being
referenced. The reference implementation of JAX-RS is Jersey and it's
extremely easy to use. I would suggest Lars Vogel's very accessible
tutorial:
