Eclipse Community ForumsEditing Remote files
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/156979/494883/#msg_494883
We have developed an IDE using eclipse 3.5(galileo) , dltk R1.0 and RSE 3.1.
Here I am able to establish a remote connection to unix through RSE.And I am able to edit remote files through RSE perspective. Also I am able to create a new remote project and new remote files through my perspective.
Now Whenever I make some changes in the remote file, through RSE perspective ,and try to save it,it saves the changes and refreshes the remote directory properly.
But whenever I make some changes in the remote file present in the remote project created through my perspective, and try to save it,everytime it gives error "Resource out of sync".It does not refreshes the remote project properly and when I manully refresh the project then only the file gets saved properly.
What could be the possible solution to this problem?
Please Help.

As you've already found it's better to refresh your remote project after
it was open. It's especially important to refresh if remote files were
changed between eclipse runs.
According to our experience RSE has some "issues", so if something is
critical for you then you can try to fix it and send patches to RSE team.
