Eclipse Community ForumsAdding custom properties for UML items?
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/151321/476086/#msg_476086
If one or more UML items (such as a class, a state,
a transition etc) is selected in the diagram, the
various properties of the selected object(s) can be
displayed in the properties view.
For various reasons, I need to add extra properties
for some UML items. I therefore need to:
- Have additional selections in the properties view, such
as an extra property tab that contains my own custom
property parameters.
- These extra properties needs to be stored in the XMI file
when the file is saved, and reloaded on file open.
Examples of what I need to do is to add specific GUI
settings that control code generation of certain UML
items etc. Furthermore, I might need to add "global"
settings for things like what O/S the generated code
should be adapted for, etc.
Does anyone know if there are any extension points
in the UML2Tools GUI that allows custom property
parameters, and if these then can be saved in the
XMI file?
If not, how can such functionality be built otherwise?
