Eclipse Community ForumsDifference between Python Module, Python Package, File and Source Folder
https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/1095600/1796430/#msg_1796430
I would like to learn Python programming, but after installing PyDev in Eclipse there are some open questions.
1. What is the difference of Python Module, Python Package, File and Source Folder?
I want to program in modulated programming. So in one file I would like to import all used libraries and do some general configuration etc.. In another file I want to have a main-function where I can start all functions. The functions should be stored in own files.
2. What is the meaning of the "src"-folder and what will happen if i create a file, module etc. outside this folder?
3. Can I create beyond the "src"-folder another folders and what would be sense if I do this?
Sorry for asking but in the Internet I don't found satisfactory answer to these questions.
Thank you so much for answering for a beginner :)
