Nominations Open for Elected Board Positions!

Don’t miss out on nominating Committer Members representatives and Contributing Member representatives to the Eclipse Foundation’s Board of Directors. Self nominations are welcome.

The positions are to serve as the elected representatives of each of the Contributing Member class (which is most of our corporate members other than those who are Strategic members) and Committer Member class (which includes all Committers who work for a member company as well as independent Committers who have joined as members of the Foundation). These elected positions are critical to the Foundation’s governance and represent a voice for each of these classes in the Foundation's decision-making.

There will be three elected Committer Member representatives and three elected Contributing Member representatives on next year's board. Elected representatives serve for a one-year term, running from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, and elected representatives may serve for multiple terms if re-elected.

To nominate a Committer Member representative or a Contributor Member representative, send an email to elections@eclipse.org. As noted above, self-nominations are welcome!

Nominations close on Friday, 31 January 2025 at 21h CET / 3:00 pm EST and voting will begin on Monday, 10 February 2025.

At OCX last October, as in previous years’ events, we held a general information meeting where the Foundation’s staff provided updates on strategic initiatives underway at the Foundation. The meeting served as an opportunity for members to engage directly with staff on matters relevant to them.

Based on the interest shown by members and subsequent feedback, we are introducing a virtual meeting series that follows this same format of staff updating all members on initiatives we think will be of interest and value to members. The meetings are open to all members. For clarity, note that these meetings are separate and distinct from our annual General Assembly meetings that we hold in April and July, where we ask the voting members to address specific business tasks such as ratifying the budget, accepting the audit report, etc. as defined in our bylaws.

The first virtual Members’ Meet-up will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, 11 February 2025 at 16:00 CET / 10:00 EST. At this meeting, we will provide updates on the progress of the ORC Working Group, as well as new initiatives being led by our ecosystem development team.
