Join Us at Open Community Experience (OCX) 2024!

OCX, the Eclipse Foundation’s premier developer conference, is happening from 22-24 October 2024 in Mainz, Germany. This event brings together our global ecosystem for an immersive and collaborative experience.

With collocated events such as Open Community for Java, Open Community for Automotive, EclipseCon and more, there is something for everyone at this new event. 

Get Involved:

• Submit a Talk: Share your expertise and insights by submitting a talk for OCX or any of the collocated events. 
  • Early-Bird Deadline: 31 May 2024
  • Final Submission Deadline: 10 June 2024
• Plan to Attend: Registration opens on 10 June 2024. Register early to take advantage of reduced fees.
• Become a Sponsor: We are expecting around 700 attendees across the co-located events. Discover the benefits of sponsorship and why your company should be part of OCX.

Introducing the Open Regulatory Compliance Initiative

The Eclipse Foundation is proud to announce the proposal to establish our newest industry collaboration, the Eclipse Open Regulatory Compliance Working Group! The proposal phase has commenced, and the draft working group charter is open for public review.

This working group is being created to address new government regulations affecting the software industry, which will impact open source communities. The aim is to bring together key stakeholders from industry, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), research, and other open source foundations to collaborate with the government. Together, we will forge specifications that enable the industry to leverage open source through the software supply chain to meet regulatory requirements. This will, in turn, help open source projects better meet industry's important needs in this regard.

All members are invited and encouraged to join this important initiative and participate in the working group. We recommend connecting to the working group mailing list to stay updated on the latest news and developments.

All resolutions were carried at the annual general assembly of the Eclipse Foundation AISBL on Monday, 8 April 2024. We thank everyone who participated in the meeting and voting. The minutes of the meeting are now available. 

Note that the annual accounts will be approved at an Extraordinary General Assembly later once the auditor completes its audit of FY 2023. Stay tuned for the announcement and Convening Notice.
