The Eclipse Foundation is growing 

Read more about the Eclipse Foundation successful growth in 2023, adding new Members and Industry Collaborations and looking ahead to a promising 2024.

Committer Members and Member Representatives of the Eclipse Foundation’s Contributing Members: It’s Time to Cast Your Vote. 

The Eclipse Foundation holds annual elections for board members representing the Committer Members and the Contributing Members. Online voting is now open and will close on 4 March 2024 at 21h CET / 3:00 PM EST. The term of office for these elected board members is one year, commencing 1 April, 2024.

We thank all nominees for their commitment and contributions to the Eclipse Foundation, and for taking the time to run for election.

Eligible voters, including Committer Members and the Member representatives of Eclipse’s Contributing Members, received a notice to vote and credentials by email on 12 February. 

If you haven't received a notice, please check your email junk or spam folder for an email from invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com. If you are still unable to locate your notice or access key, please contact us at elections@eclipse.org. 

The new representatives will be announced via community bulletin on 6 March.

2024 Annual General Assembly - Mark Your Calendar!

The annual general assembly of the Eclipse Foundation AISBL will be held on Monday, 8 April 2024 at 15:00-16:00 CEST via Zoom. Members can also join the meeting in person at the Association’s office located at Rond Point Schuman 11 Brussels 1040 Belgium. 

The Convening Notice was sent to members on 23 February; all are encouraged to join. Kindly confirm your presence by e-mail to the secretary@eclipse-foundation.org at the latest by 5 April 2024 at 22:00 CEST / 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Note that voting is restricted to Voting Members (i.e. member representatives of Strategic and Contributing member organizations) or their proxies. An email including the agenda and specific instructions regarding attending or voting electronically in advance will be sent by mid-March.

Updates to the Eclipse Foundation Privacy Policy and Eclipse.org

Terms of Use

We updated our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use on 15 February 2024.

Key updates include:

• Alignment of our policies with recent changes in regulations, including the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA).
• Clarification that our platform and services are not meant for, or targeted to anyone under the age of 16.
• Extension of the retention time for our logs from 90 days to one (1) year as part of our ongoing commitment to security and audits.

These amendments reflect our dedication to transparency, compliance, and user protection. We encourage all users to familiarise themselves with the revised documents. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these revised policies, please contact privacy@eclipse.org.
