The Eclipse Foundation at Upcoming Events

The Eclipse Foundation will be participating in lots of conferences and tradeshows over the next few months. Our goal is to showcase Eclipse projects on behalf of our members and working groups. If your organization would like us to help support your activities, let us know.

2020 Board Elections

Nominations are now open for the 2020 Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors elections. 

The Eclipse Board includes representation from both Sustaining (i.e., Solutions) members and Committer members.  Elected representatives play a vital role in the Eclipse governance process, providing insight into issues and opinions of the broader membership at large.  This year there will be 3 elected Sustaining and 3 elected Committer representatives.

To nominate someone as a candidate for a Committer or Sustaining Member position, send email to elections@eclipse.org. Self-nominations are accepted. The deadline for nominations has been extended, and now closes on January 31.

Voting begins on February 12, 2020, and ends on March 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.

New Bylaws Ratified and in Effect

New Bylaws for the Eclipse Foundation were ratified by both the Foundation’s Board of Directors and through a recent vote of the membership-at-Large. The Bylaws came into effect on January 1.  

The Bylaw updates better reflect the Foundation as it functions today as a broad set of projects and members. As noted in the recent release regarding the changes, the new Bylaws reflect the broader scope in technologies currently encompassed by Eclipse projects while enabling the Foundation to attract and foster new projects and working groups focused on emerging technologies.
