FOUNDATION UPDATES

ECLIPSE PUBLIC LICENSE VERSION 2.0 APPROVED

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce a new version 2 of the Eclipse Public License (EPL v2.0) has been approved by the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors and the Open Source Initiative (OSI). The new EPL v2.0 is the result of a two-year community process to identify and implement improvements to the existing EPL v1.0 license. Starting immediately, the new license will become the default license for Eclipse community projects.

ECLIPSECON EUROPE: MORE THAN THE PROGRAM

Autumn is in the air, so it's almost time for EclipseCon Europe!

As usual, the week is filled with extra activities by and for the community. Space is limited for organizing an Unconference session, doing a demo at the IoT Playground, or leading a BoF, so sign up soon.

New this year is Smart Home Day, a co-located event on Sunday, October 22; details are on the Smart Home Day page.

Fees go up after October 5; register soon to save €100. An All Access pass includes everything happening Tuesday, October 24 through Thursday, October 26: keynotes, tutorials, talks, the IoT Theme Day, the IoT Playground, Project Quality Day, BoFs, the Stammtisch, the Exhibitors' Reception, Club ECE, and more.
