Goal of this document (last update: October 20, 2004)

 

This is an evolving document with two goals in mind:

  • The first goal is to present existing Eclipse WTP working groups, and the organizations and people working in that groups on a regular basis
  • The second goal is to give (hopefully) accurate information about these groups; directions of the working groups and major news will take place here.

Server tooling
News
  • Requirement gathered for server tooling are here
  • Initial code drop, in August/September, for support of Web browsers, TCP/IP monitor, Java & J2EE servers, Tomcat. See drop announcement (no additional requirement for this code - just the Eclipse 3.0 platform).
  • Review of server tools architecture is been conducted
  • XML based configuration been included to IBM server tools
  • Progress made on generic server code
  • How to contribute a server tool document draft to be published
  • Bull working on JOnAS server tool implementation
  • JBoss working on JBoss server tool implementation
