Announcements and General Business

  • Happy New Year!
  • What are your new year resolutions?

There is a need, and interest!, to discuss high level, big picture aspects of the WTP project. We'll schedule that for next week, to give PMC Members time to think about it, and time to plan what things they can volunteer for. Some possible items mentioned were:

  • Like new logo?

Rather than "yes/no", Raghu had suggestions for improvement! Naci volunteered that he'd consider, and by next week propose a plan. For at least web page WTP logo (perhaps Java IDE Intro page too?).

  • SR2 Rampdown plan
     SR2

            01/08 M Build
            01/15 M Build for SR2 RC1
    M5! ->  01/29 M Build for SR2 RC2 (PMC Review starts following this build)
02/05 M Build for SR2 RC3 Can this be our final build?
            02/12 R Build Final Build
(02/26 Galileo SR2) (WTP 3.1.2) (fourth Friday of February)

Note from meeting: it was mentioned there is no plan for post SR2 maintenance.

It was mentioned that RC1 is a "warmup" release candidate and changes can go in with Project Lead review until RC2. After RC2, PMC Review starts.

  • TODO: create "works with" CQs (Instead of all at once, I'll do a few this week, to confirm, then others)

For reference, see the Board Resolution.

I was reminded there is already one example (CQ 2775) from Dali.

  • It was mentioned there will be a new committer nominated for JSF project (Carlen Rogers).
  • It was clarified my name on "WTP Uncovered" was a miscommunication, and I'll be removed as author.
