   <release projectid="technology.stem" version="1.3.0"/>
   <introduction>
     <html:div>
     	The Spatiotemporal Epidemiological Modeler (STEM) tool is designed to help scientists and public health officials create and use
     	spatial and temporal models of emerging infectious diseases. These models could aid in understanding, and potentially preventing,
     	the spread such diseases.
     </html:div>
   </introduction>
   <release_deliverables>
     <html:div>
     <html:p/>STEM is delivered as an Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP) application runnable on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X platforms. It
     requires a Java 6 or later JVM. The STEM application includes tools for designing, simulating, and analyzing epidemiological models.
     STEM contains a wealth of prepackaged data in the form of existing disease models and simulations as well as geographic/demographic data for
     the world.
     <html:p style="font-weight:bold;">The 1.3.0 release will include the following:</html:p>
     <html:ul style="line-height: 50%;">
     	<html:li>Bug Fixes from 1.2.2</html:li>
        <html:li>Ten years of Earth Science Data (2000-2010) available as STEM Features</html:li>
    	<html:li>Malaria Disease Model (Anopheles calibrated)</html:li>
   		<html:li>Dengue Fever Disease Model (Aedes not yet calibrated)</html:li>
    	<html:li>New Differential Equation solver(s) from commons.math library</html:li>
    	<html:li>Additional NLS + User ability to switch languages</html:li>
    	<html:li>Logger Framework with new loggers</html:li>
    	<html:li>New feature: “Population Transformer” - enabling transformation of population members to allow modeling of e.g. food mediated disease transmission</html:li>
    	<html:li>Improvements to the graphical editor</html:li>
     </html:ul>
     <html:p style="font-weight:bold;">The 1.3.1 Features (Tentative):</html:p>
     <html:ul style="line-height: 50%;">
		<html:li>Bug Fixes to 1.3.0</html:li>
		<html:li>Scenario "compile" proof of concept</html:li>
		<html:li>STEM EMF update to version 2.7.2</html:li>
		<html:li>Shape File Importer: Improvements to GUI</html:li>
		<html:li>Population Transformer: “realistic” sample model on food mediated disease transmission</html:li>
		<html:li>Pajek-file Importer: Enable integration between user graphs and existing STEM graphs </html:li>
		<html:li>Graph Editor: improved zooming; deleting nodes and edges, improved GUI for new population generation</html:li>
		<html:li>Ability to Delete Items inside a Graph in Designer Perspective</html:li>
		<html:li>STEM -integration inside KNIME: creating a Node within the KNIME, Node-repository that allows STEM headless execution</html:li>

   <target_environments>
     <html:div>STEM runs on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X platforms. It is built using Eclipse 3.6 and requires Java 6 or later.</html:div>
     <internationalization>
     	  <html:div>STEM currently has partial National Language Support for several languages.
          NLS resources for STEM are managed through Eclipse Babel and additional translations
          can be contributed through the Babel Project (http://eclipse.org/babel/).</html:div>
