Server-Side Equinox has become an integral part of today's ecosystem and is material to many organizations businesses. More and more organizations look at Server-Side Equinox to build dynamic server applications and vendors adopt OSGi as the runtime technology of their servers.
The Eclipse Gyrex Project is an Eclipse project for creating an open, dynamic and extensible platform for Equinox based server applications. CloudFree provides a set of frameworks and tools around Equinox to allow seamless and pain-free operation of Equinox server clusters. It also provides frameworks and concepts for developing scalable services and applications which can be offered in a Software-as-a-Service model and in a traditional self-hosted model.
