Talend is an open source integration vendor. The company provides Eclipse-based enterprise solutions for data management and application integration.
The company was founded in 2005 by Bertrand Diard and Fabrice Bonan and is headquartered in Suresnes, France and Los Altos, California, USA. It was at the time the first commercial open source vendor of data integration software. Talend’s products now include data integration, data quality, master data management, and enterprise service bus.

In mid-2011, Talend’s open source products had been downloaded more than 15 million times, and Talend had 2,500 paying customers for its enterprise products. These include companies such as AOL, Virgin Mobile, Deutsche Post, Sony, Car-boat & Media, Accor, SNCF and others.

Talend is backed by reputable venture capital firms, including Silver Lake Sumeru, Balderton Capital and IDInvest. In November 2010, Talend acquired Sopera, a Strategic Developer Member of the Eclipse Foundation.
