It's been observed that the use of the term "decorator" may be confusing to users in the greater STEM community. (It brings to mind interior designers." We'd like to invite suggestions for a term that is more readily understandable.
Is the term "attribute" or "descriptor" less confusing?
Post your candidates for a new term to replace "decorator."
I believe it does come from the greater Eclipse background (or the Decorator
pattern) but if scientific or healthcare users have something better in
mind, why not rephrase it.
Once a term was decided upon I'd be happy to check the best word in German
for it ;-)
