Why I havent't Total in Expression Builder ? [message #261609] Sun, 18 November 2007 19:43 Go to next message

Hello,

I have a problem with Total in BIRT.

In Expression Builder, under Category I select BIRT Functions.
Sub-Category displays the classes of functions like BirtComp, DateTimeSpan
and Finance. Unfortunately, it doesn't display Total, so I haven't got
the aggregate functions here.
I need it to make my report because I wont to count number of record
return by my query and display this value in per cent.

Something like: Total.count() / number of rows in more detailed query

What should I do to have Total under Sub-Category of BIRT Functions or Is
there any other way to do something like that ?

I use Eclipse SDK Version: 3.3.1 and BIRT 2.2.1.

Thank you for your help.

Sara

Hi Sara

The total function's expression has been removed from the expression builder
from BIRT2.2.0. But you can also type the total expressions by yourself.
There is a new feature called Aggregation builder which is instead of the
total functions. You can drag a aggregation builder in palette and specify
the total functions such as SUM in that builder.

Best Regards!
