I did a solid search for Inline (.inl) file support and I can't really
seem to find anything. Basically I'm running Eclipse 3.4 with CDT 5.0 and
the .inl files have no syntax highlighting, and isn't recognized really as
a C/C++ file type. Any workarounds for this in the meantime?

You can register the extension '.inl' with the C/C++ content-types
in the preferences under General > Content Types.
