Perspective buttons disappeared [message #214076] Sat, 20 March 2004 22:59 Go to next message

Hi Folks!

i have a strange problem on my eclipse-gtk installation on the Linux box. By
some mysterious reason the toolbar on the left-hand side of the main window
(the one with the buttons that allow one to switch perspective) has
disappeared.
I thought that this feature was accidentally disabled in preferences but
couldn't find one responsible for that toolbar.
Does anybody know how to get that bar back as it is very handy? I would
probably survive without it but it would be very nice to get it back. :-)

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Igor.

I tried it in the first instance. Unfortunately, it didn't help.

I'm seeing the same behavior. WINDOW -> RESET PERSPECTIVE didn't work
for me either. However, I did notice that the shortcut bar *is* there.
It appears to be one pixel wide however and I don't know how to
increase it.

That's true. I noticed that button shadings moving depending which
perspective you're in.
A good thing that i'm not alone, a bad thing is that i still didn't manage
to find a workaround for that.

Best regards,
Igor.

You wouldn't happen to be using GTK2.4.0 and Eclipse 2.1.x or Eclipse 3.0 M7
or earlier?

If so, then Bug 55449
("https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=55449").
