Here are the steps to reproduce the problem we are having:
1. Load the attached TOCTest.rptdesign
2. Render the report as PDF. See the attached result
3. Select the table and then navigate to "Groups" tab
4. double-click on the grouping entry -- you will see the dialog (see
attached screenshots)
5. In the dialog try to remove the TOC Item expression value. Press Ok
6. Now, repeat steps 3 and 4. You'll see that the value is preserved. All
subsequent renderings into PDF file will still contain auto-generated
bookmarks for table groups.
The problem here is that -- it is impossible turn off generation of the
bookmarks per group. Auto-generation of bookmarks per groups in tables is a
nice feature in some cases but in others it is unwanted and prevents user
from achieving his own custom bookmarks structure.
Am I missing something here or is this a bug?
Thank you,
-Boris
P.S. I inspected .rptdesign for any entries of TOC Item expressions for
table groupings and found none -- all points to the fact that they are
computed for the dialog from step #4 above.

Thank you - this did work. I'm submitting a bug report to get the
intuitiveness of this feature addressed.
