How to make barebones Juno + PDT for PHP development? [message #894022] |

I just upgraded to Juno, now using the 3.0.1 PDT from Zend since I can't find 3.1 as mentioned here in an earlier thread.
I'm on Win7 64-bit, so I chose that variant of Eclipse Classic from the download page.
What I'd like to do is strip out any functionality that I don't need, in the hopes of speeding up Eclipse performance.
All I care about is PDT, SVN (currently using Subversive) and some general features like External Tools and Search.
Out of the built-in Perspectives, I never use:
- CVS Repository Exploring
- Java (default)
- Java Browsing
- Java Type Hierarchy
- JavaScript
- Plug-in Development
I'd like to remove all related packages for these perspectives. How would I do this?
Also, I'd be interested in tips on how to tweak Eclipse's startup so that it loads faster. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jacob
