Jesus that is pissing me off. I only created a single remote debug configuration. But whenever I press to debug, it automatically creates a local configuration and launches locally. I *NEVER* want to debug locally.

Why in God's name won't Eclipse leave me alone? Help Sad
It works fine when I launch by clicking on the dropdown arrow and specifically select the (only) entry, but it doesn't work by clicking squarely on the icon or by shortcut.

I agree that this is annoying.
Window->Preferences->Run/Debug->Launching. Select Always launch the previously launched application in the Launch Operation section.
I've never understood why the Launch Selected resource or active editor was added or who would ever want it, but someone decided it was what people should have so we are stuck with it.
