jed,

i was wondering if the eclipse debugger will work with the upcoming
aspectj 1.1 release in a way that line numbers are preserved.

since aspectj is weaving extra code in user written
code i am hesitating using aspectj for any production work unless
line numbers are preserved by the eclipse debugger.

Markus,

Why don't you enter a bug report for this. We might already have one,
but one more on a topic like this won't hurt :).

Please mention your specific worries about aspectj in the bug report.
This should shed some light on the importance of this technology.
