Hi

I am new to Eclipse. I have Eclipse 3.4.2
I am trying to prototype RESTful web service. Some tutorials talk about selection JAX-RS option while creating a New - Project but I am not able to see that in my eclipse.

Is there an plugin or how can I see that option

Thanks
Adarsh

I'm not certain what you've seen unless it's a Maven archetype being
referenced. The reference implementation of JAX-RS is Jersey and it's
extremely easy to use. I would suggest Lars Vogel's very accessible
tutorial:

http://www.vogella.de/articles/REST/article.html

Here is another article with more information that's based on the
earlier tutorial:

I suggest you to download dependencies manually (without my eclipse) and try it. The easiest way to do it with Jersey(JAX-RS) and tomcat.Anyway there is no wizard to follow create REST service project with Eclipse Java EE. So you should download Jersey and follow this link.

This will help you to create a REST project with Eclipse. lasithtechavenue.blogspot.com/2012/12/implementing-rest-service-with-java.html
