In our plug-in development environment, everytime we start eclipse there are some preferences that need to be set once eclipse gets launched.

1) Plug-in Development->Target platform
2) Java->Code Style->Formatter
2) Java->Code Style->Code Templates
3) etc.

Is there a way in which I can develop a plug-in that gets executed on eclipse startup and does these settings automatically?

Also, is there a way in which I can import projects in a similar way? The list of projects could be specified in a .properties file.

Basically, my requirement is that if I put this plug-in in my eclipse/plug-ins directory and lauch eclipse , it automatically sets these preferences and also import the required projects.

Pl. let me know if I can do these and if so what would be the best way to do this.
