Hi all;
We are running Eclipse Galileo, JSF 1.2, IceFaces 1.8.2, Tomcat 6.0.29 and have recently downloaded the latest Internet Explorer '9' from Microsoft.
Up until the introduction of IE9 we had no problems. We always test any Javascript development on Internet Explorer, Safari, and FireFox. Before IE9 this was relatively easy on Eclipse. We would make a change, save the changes and run the project.
Since IE9 nothing we do will make these Javascript changes appear in the IE9 browser, though the FireFox and Safari show the behavior changes associated with the script change. This is very easily tested using an alert('Change Occurred') message.
We have tried everything in Eclipse, restart Tomcat, clean project, even restart Eclipse nothing works with IE9 (except time, if you wait long enough the changes appear), so we believe that there must be something in the browser that is keeping the page we are testing in memory of something (session?) we disabled some browser properties (like automatic crash recovery) in an attempt to get back to a testable product but so far no joy.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem and have you found a solution?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Don
