I am trying to diagnose a performance issue with the grammar I have which
looks similar to the problem stated (severe performance problem / infinite
loop? in AbstractInternalAntlrParser) in a thread from 1/18/2011. The part
of the grammar in question is a small scripting language that has a
moderately complex expression tree.

I am trying to determine:
a) if this is an xtext 1.0 issue (looks like it was from the message on
1/18/2011)
b) are there some rules of thumbs to refactor this portion of the grammar to
make the performance problem go away.
