Hi,

the Eclipse Jubula Database Drivers do not offer an option to use Microsoft SQL Server as Database.
Since we are running MS SQL Server, I am interested to use it with Jubula.
Is there a way to configure a connection to a MS SQL Server?
Microsoft offers a JDBC Driver for MS SQL Server.

Thanks for your answer,
Niels

We just migrated from Hibernate to EclipseLink as JPA provider. With Hibernate, MS SQLServer didn't work. We haven't had time to test MS SQL. I'll ask a the colleague to provide you with details (if possible) to try MS SQL.

Hi Niels,

It looks like support for additional databases didn't make it into our initial release. Adding the driver library to the classpath isn't a problem (easily achievable via a fragment), but the rest (telling Jubula to use the driver, configuring the connection URL) *is* a problem because we didn't use a plug-in structure for that.

Please file an enhancement request in our bugzilla for Jubula to support user-added database drivers (or at least to test against MS SQL and, if appropriate, add it to the list of supported database drivers), and I'll bring it to the team's attention. We're always happy to receive contributions to the project, whether they're in the form of an enhancement request, bug report, patch, or implementation suggestion.

In the meanwhile, I can recommend the H2 database included with Jubula. All projects that you create can later be exported to XML and imported into your MS SQL database when support is added.

- Zeb
