I'm new to PDT and PHP. I tried to install PDT - downloading "Eclipse PDT 2.2.0 All In Ones / Eclipse PHP Package" for Mac, then install the "PHP Development Tools (PDT) SDK Feature" via Eclipse->Help->Install New Software from "download.eclipse.org/releases/helios". It works well until this point.

Then I proceed to install Zeng debugger via Eclipse->Help->Install New Software from "downloads.zend.com/pdt". I get this error after agreeing to license agreement

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.php, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,org.zend.php.debug.debugger,5.3.18.v20110322
No repository found containing: osgi.bundle,org.zend.php.debug.debugger.macosx,5.3.18.v20110322
No repository found containing: org.eclipse.update.feature,org.zend.php.debug_feature,5.3.18.v20110322

Please help, I've been stuck here for a while.

replying to my own thread to give more colors to the issue...

I also tried to install PDT 2.1 SR2. Repeat the same steps, stuck at the same place with a similar error:

Zend update site is messed up exactly.

If you *really* need Zend Debugger Feature, do following steps.

1. Create working directory (e.g. ~/localSite)

2. Download content.jar, artifacts.xml, artifacts.jar from http://downloads.zend.com/pdt to ~/localSite

3. Edit artifacts.xml, replace "${repoUrl}" with "http://downloads.zend.com/pdt" (3 places)

4. Pack(archive) artifacts.xml into artifacts.jar

5. Start Eclipse, Help > Install New Software > Add > Local >> select ~/localSite, and then continue installation process

Good luck

You seems to suggest alternative to Zend debugger, can you elaborate? Is there something I need to watch out for in Zend debugger?

Try XDebug. How to do so, see here: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/212822/685761/#msg_685761

There is another url that works, I am not able to post it since this forum requires that i post 5 messages before I am allowed to post links, but add this to downloads.zend.com:

/studio-eclipse/updates/7_1

select the debugger from the list of available installs.
