This problem cropped up with a recent re-installation (upgrade) of CDT and Mingw and I haven't been able to resolve it. Default Eclipse CDT 32bit download, extracted to c:\eclipse, then upgraded to the latest CDT release. Using latest MingW32 which gives me g++ (GCC) 4.5.2, installed to c:\mingw.

My environment workspace is in my user C:\Users\seti\Documents\EclipseWorkspace

I am the only user installed and am in the Administrators group.

When I run the HelloWorld C++ project it compiles fine using Internal CDT Builder and also works fine if I modify it to use mingw32-make -f makefile.

The problem is in the linking. For some reason the linker is creating the exe to require elevated credentials to run, that is to say UAC catches it and requires me to acknowledge it. I simply haven't been able to get rid of this.

Has anybody run into this here?
