Hi,

I am having a problem described below related to using UI plugin, on HP-UX. If someone seen this before or have any idea about fixing it, please let me know the solution.

Thanks!
Vijay

Problem:
When trying to launch an eclipse application that has a UI-based plugin using the Equinox launcher on a HP-UX platform, I get a ClassNotFound exception on the SWTError class. The detailed stack trace could be found below.

I verified that all the required plugins are properly placed because the same setup works fine on Windows platforms (tested with the corresponding eclipse binaries for Windows).

Platform:
HP-UX IA64

Eclipse binaries version: 3.5

Eclipse Equinox Jar:
org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.200.v20090520.jar

Eclipse SWT:
org.eclipse.swt.motif.hpux.ia64_32.source_3.5.0.v3550b.jar
org.eclipse.swt.motif.hpux.ia64_32_3.5.0.v3550b.jar
org.eclipse.swt_3.5.0.v3550b.jar

Stack Trace:

Is your JVM an IA64_32 bit JVM? Are you launching eclipse on hpux, and
then trying to launch your RCP app? Did you create an HPUX version
using the delta pack on windows?
