According to http:// www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/ReintroducingSS E/ReintroducingSSE.html, the Structured Source Editor provides two different javascript editors. One of them includes a preview page that lets you test javascript code by wrapping in a simple HTML page.

I installed the Eclipse XML Editors and Tools, and the Javascript Development Tools. But I don't see the javascript preview tab.

How do I launch the editor that have the preview tab?

You might try asking on eclipse.webtools where JSDT is discussed.
There are no longer two JavaScript editors and don't think that preview
function was implemented in JSDT (but ... do ask ... I'm not sure).
