Hi folks,

if I trigger a commit on my multi-module project, my Eclipse freezes for several minutes before the commit dialog opens. This happens since a couple of weeks (always with the nightly-build) and is very annoying.

Where can I retrieve more information (log files) or switch on, for example, debug messages?

Thanks in advance,
Leif

There is a log in yourworkspace/.metadata/.log, which is also viewable
int the Errors view. If you can verify that the same problem occurs
with a new workspace, then please report as a bug in bugzilla. If you can
tell when it started going wrong, even better.

There were no errors in the log file. I tried it with a fresh clone from Subversion (just switched the repository my Eclipse workspace references) and it works normal again. Unfortunately I can't tell what action corrupted my repository...

With 0.9.3 you can now configure tracing via Ctrl-3 > Configure Git Tracing.

Since my original problem has re-appeared, I tried to configure the debug trace. Unfortunately this ended in a NullPointerException, but I already filed a bug for this: (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=325718)
