Hi,

I created ecore model based on xmi generated by a UML modeling tool (EA). I then edited the ecore model in Eclipse. How can I save the updated ecore model back to xmi so that the UML modeling tool can import the change? I tried to use "File -> Save As", but that only allows to save as .ecore or .emof file.

Thanks!

John

Both ecore and emof are XMI representations so I'm not sure what you're
asking.

Assuming you went from UML to Ecore (and assuming you have good reasons to go back Wink), you'll have to convert it back to UML to get it in EA; e.g. "Export Model ..." from genmodel editor, or "Convert to UML Model ..." in the Sample Ecore Editor. The EA XMI Import should work on the resulting .uml file.

Thank you, Alex and Ed. 'Sample Ecore Editor" is the right tool for this kind of job.

Cheers!
