Assume I currently editing an XML file.

How can I change the current highlighting colors schema?

How can I export this new XML color schema and import it in another Eclipse installation?

Export:
1. File -> Export... -> General -> Preferences
2. Be sure 'Export all' is checked
3. choose a location and press 'Finish'

Import:
1. In your other workspace
2. File -> Import... -> General -> Preferences
3. Choose location from export
4. be sure box to 'Import all' is checked
5. Finish

Thank you.

two more related questons:

1.) But where can I setup editor (monospaced) font?

2.) Is the mentioned export+import procedure
suitable as well for migration of preferences from
Eclipse old to Eclipse new

E.g. from

v3.4->v3.5
or (in future)
v3.5->v3.6

?

On the Colors and Fonts preference page, under General/Appearance,
either with the Text Font or the Structured Text Editor Text Font. A
monospaced font should already be the default.
