Hey
I am new to this so be gentle Smile
I managed to start setting up a few projects and they were working fine. I then turned off my mac came back to it later and now all files that I create cannot find the R.java file how ever many times I clean, re-build, do have auto build dont have autobuild refresh, dont refresh or re-install ecplise
Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong
Many thanks
Ben

Hi,

what is your R.java?
What are the errors?
Are there something in your log file? (workspace/.metadata/.log)

I get that R is missing or that my project is Missing required source folder gen
They are the two error I get when ever I generate a new android project and I may be being simple but I cannot find a .metedata folder on my computer
Sorry I am really new to this!!

Sorry I probably should have explained a bit better:
I am setting up to develop in android and have download the latest package.
So I start ecplise and say create a new android project:
This should generate a selection of files (basic configuration xml files) and the R.java file in a folder called src
My problem is that for some reason eclipse is not generating this for me, if I use clean/build/refresh over and over again eventually it will build a src for me and if I keep doing this and deleting it or parts of it eventually it will correctly generate the file for me but only for a short time before it looses sight of it again
Hope this makes sense
Cheers
Ben
