Project tasks [message #482792] Fri, 28 August 2009 01:36 Go to next message

Hello,

I'm a newcomer to Eclipse and trying to create tasks in Mylyn which
belong to current project.

But they always show up all, in all projects.

I mean I created task working with project X. It placed under
Uncategorized, for example. Then I switch to project Y and still see
that task under Uncategorized. But it should be hidden in project Y.

How can I achieve this?

Thanks.

This is not the way Mylyn is working. You cannot assign tasks to project.
But you can assign a task repository to project in the project specific settings.

So the behaviour you are observing is perfectly correct.

Cheers, Jörg

OK thank you. I'll try to create repositories then for every project.

This will not have any effect on hiding the tasks I think. Probably your
best bet is to use categories to group tasks based on project.

I tried to create repos but couldn't. The only choice Eclipse give me to
create Bugzilla repository, not Local. Seems like Local repository can
be created only once and it handles all projects.

OK, will have to use categories. Spasibo.

When you use the Industrial SQL Connector (see
https://bugs.eclipse.org/184532) you can create a more elaborate system
using a Derby or other type of database with a Product category as field.
