Using Eclipse's CVS client with an already checked out project [message #48586] Thu, 07 April 2005 11:56 Go to next message

Hi

I have created a new C++ project in Eclipse from an existing source root.
This source root is managed by CVS. I usually use SmartCVS or TortoiseCVS
clients to interface with CVS.

I would like to experiment with the Team capabilities of Eclipse. I assume
that one would normally check-out a project with Eclipse and then start
working on it. However, in my case, the project was already checked out,
that is why I created it from 'an existing source root'.

Can I configure Eclipse's CVS client to use the already checked out CVS
project?

Can I use Eclipse's CVS client / SmartCVS / TortoiseCVS interchangeably on
the same project? (i.e. are the local project CVS files compatible?)

It seems that Team->Share Project... does what I want.
