I have an RCP application where by I have an initial login screen
created with a non closeable view, this belongs to a login perspective.
When I have a successful login I switch to a different perspective.

My question is, is it possible to not show the perspective bar in the
initial login perspective and then show it when a successful login has

It appears that the setShowPerspectiveBar is only available during the
preWindowOpen phase of the application.

Any ideas on how to access this at other times, if indeed it is possible??

If your idea is to prevent the user from doing anything before logging in, I think there is a better solution. Eclipse 3.3 M6 has a custom splash screen where you can do the login part. Have a look at: 200703231616/eclipse-news-M6.html
