Hi

Our product is developed/build against a specific target platform. This
target platform is defined by means of an Eclipse '.target' file, which
uses an overall location, and additionally, adds two handfuls of extra
locations. Now trying to move to a buckminster headless build, how do I
tell buckminster about this? I am of course dreaming of telling
buckminster simply about the '.target' file - there are actually multiple
of those in our product - but so far I have not found anything remotely
assembling something like this.

Big question: How to move forward?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kind Regards
Alex

Hi Alex,
One good way forward would be to enter a bugzilla enhancement request
for the handling of '.target' files. Chances are that someone might
provide a patch that gets accepted.

Hi Thomas

Unfortunately that sounds like I won't get my dream realised by the end of
this week... So if my dream does not come true, what is the next best way
or is there just one way (using that property - I forgot the property name
- to set the target platform)?

BTW: I a created an enhancement request: 267725, hoping the details are
sufficient.

Regards
Alex
