i am sure it is a beginners question, but up to now, i developed all my
Java stuff in Netbeans. So i am new to Eclipse IDE.

Q: why can't i debug the RAP demo app? The debug session starts and i can
set breakpoints. When i access the server with a browser i expected
eclipse to stop at my breakpoints. But that is not the case.

can anyone tell me what's goning on, please?

Thanks
Andrej

can you *run* the demo app, i.e. do you see the demo workbench or
example controls?

are you sure that you started the application in debug mode, menu Run ->
Debug...?

If so, you could set a breakpoint in W4TDelegate#doPost, every request
will call this code.

it seems i am misunderstanding something:
i suspected the main routine of the RAP demo is in RWTDemo.java createUI()
in the package org.eclipse.rap.demo

am i wrong?

please disregard my first answer.

meanwhile, i understand that RAP Demo are 4 Demo apps that can be started
with a parameter in the url. So starting with "rwtdemo" solved my problem.

Thanks
