Hello everyone,

I would like to add an extra panel (not sure if this the correct term) in
to eclipse. How would I go about doing this with extensions? (presume this
would be the best way)

In the panel I would like to be able to (at runtime) add and remove...
emmmm... well 2D boxes of some sort that would perform certain
functionality when they are clicked. So I guess I will be using some sort
of SWT within the panel.

Thank you very much for your help.

John

The term you're looking for is probably "View".

You're probably going to need more information than is appropriate for a
newsgroup posting. The places I'd suggest finding it are:

1. The various tutorials available on the Eclipse web site, as well as the
new-project wizards.

2. The very excellent book "Eclipse: Building Commercial Quality Plug-ins"
by Clayberg & Rubel, ISBN 032142672X.
