At the time I installed Eclipse my JAVA_HOME variable points to a JRE installation.

After Eclipse installation I uninstalled the old JRE
and installed the new J2SE (including a sepatare JRE).

I adjusted JAVA_HOME to

C:\Program Files\Java\J2SEv1.6

When I compile now some java prgms inside Eclipse then I get the error:

[ERROR] Unable to locate the Javac Compiler in:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\..\lib\tools.jar
Please ensure you are using JDK 1.4 or above and
not a JRE (the com.sun.tools.javac.Main class is required).
In most cases you can change the location of your Java
installation by setting the JAVA_HOME environment variable.

Hmm, Eclipse v3.6.1 seems not to detect the env variable change. How can I tell Eclipse to renew its internal JAVA_HOME information?

How can I manually chnage this information in Eclipse?

Ben
