Hello Dima,

RSE stores its passwords in the Eclipse Keyring, which is stored by
default in the Eclipse Configuration Area, which may in turn default to
a folder below the Windows home directory.

You can change this behavior with the -keyring command-line argument. To
use this, I'd suggest writing a little batch file on your USB key to
launch Eclipse with the additional parameter. See also
http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/topic/org.eclipse.rse.doc.u ser/tasks/tbeginpass.html

See also scenario #2 ("Shared Installs") on
http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/topic/org.eclipse.platform. doc.isv/reference/misc/multi_user_installs.html
I guess that your Eclipse Install on the USB Key appears read-only to
Eclipse, that's why it places the configuration area into the user home.
I guess that if you pre-populate a local "Scenario #3 - shared
configuration" area on your stick, the FTP password should also
be taken from that shared configuration.
