Hi,
I'm using light decoration.
I read the article about decorations and implemented its redecorate code.
I have compilation error - I don't know which class
fireLabelProviderChanged I should call.

This is a good question. There are plenty of guidelines and tutorials that tell you that you must call it, but it seems that nobody knows how.

Ok, I have enabled the solution for the people:

Display.getDefault().asyncExec(new Runnable() {
    public void run() {
	IDecoratorManager idm = PlatformUI.getWorkbench().getDecoratorManager();
	idm.update("your decorator ID that you specified in plugin.xml");
						       }
						});
