OK, I tried this in the eclipse.platform group and got no response, so I'll
give it a shot here. If there is another group where you feel it belongs,
please let me know...

Is there any way to change the tab orientation for a
TabbedPropertySheetPage? I'd like to show the tabs on the top or bottom to
conserve some real estate.
thanks - Barry

Hi Barry,

The TabbedPropertySheetPage only allows tabs on the left. This would be an
interesting feature request.

Cheers...
Anthony

Hi Barry,

I'm actually doing something like this myself, mucking about with the
tabbed property plugin in the aim of making something akin to the
properties Inspector like you might see in Mac apps (scroll down here
for Apple & Microsoft examples:
http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/11/14/road_to_mac_of fice_2008_word_08_vs_pages_3_0.html&page=2)

It's not something I'm focusing on atm really, but if I get anywhere
I'll post back here again about this in a few months, unless you beat me
to it!

But as a short answer to your question - no, there is no easy way to
change the orientation without changing the code. It's currently written
just for that one horizontal-style orientation.

Cheers,
Justin

Barry Brother,
In the past, I tried this approach:
copy many classes(which cannot be accessed), and override it.:)
I not know it state now.
If you must change it orientation, it's the way.:)

Cheers,
Qinxian

Hi Justin,
It definitely would be nice. If I can get a chance to look into it, I
certainly will. Thank you and Anthony for your posts.
best regards,
Barry
