The following draw2d features would be useful in Nebula:

- Figure data structure for composing reusable pieces
- Several types of layout
- unified layout and repaint strategy
- optimized stateful wrapper for GC
- Utility for animation
- Beginnings of lightweight accessibility, focus, events, etc.

I would suggest that use of draw2d would be an implementation detail and not
exposed as API.
Draw2d has no dependencies other than SWT.

Hi Randy,

Thats an interesting idea. I don't have much experience with draw2d.
The feature list looks interesting but I guess I'm still not sure how
much benefit this is to most widget developers. Are there any simple
examples of widgets developed with draw2d? Something I can take a look at?

It would seem that if a widget wants to graduate into SWT that depending
on draw2d would not be an option however.

-Chris
