GEF, EMF, and platform undo/redo/command [message #230878] Thu, 22 February 2007 02:37 Go to next message

What is the currently recommended way to implement undo/redo and command
stacks using GEF with EMF models in an RCP app? There are old
discussions on this topic. Is there anything more current?

Is the preferred approach to use platform commands? Any pointers to docs
or samples?

Unfortunately GMF is not an option for my project.

Thx,
Max

You don't need to use the platform operation support unless you have
contexts which overlap.

What do you mean by contexts which overlap? Do you mean like when I open
my one view that is editing a part which resides in another view, and that
modificaitno of the one view, affects the other view. But not vice versa?
